Not only are individual churches very often divided, cantankerous, full of factions, animosity and anger but it seems to me that the entire evangelical church is like that - fragmented, split up, hostile, even angry. This is a far cry from what our Lord desired when He said the world would know us by our love.

No Christian with half a brain would say 'we support religious freedom.'

Christians have always dissented through history... and inevitably, when persecution of free speech comes it always comes against the people who have the religious absolutes, because that's what threatens people's freedom to sin. So we're always going to be the culprits.

Religious freedom is what sends people to Hell.

Being a pastor means you're a truth teller. That means you're truth teller when it comes to the Bible. That means you protect your people from deception that comes from the world. That's part of being a shepherd.

Freedom of speech, for us, is to preach the truth of Christ even when society says it's against the law.

To say I support religious freedom is to say I support idolatry. It's to say I support lies. I support Hell. I support the kingdom of darkness. You can't say that.

I don't even support religious freedom.

I wouldn't fight for religious freedom because I won't fight for idolatry. Why would I fight for the devil to have as many false religions as possible and all of them to be available to everyone?

Health mandates and governors orders are not law.

There were some things that settled into my heart very early into my life and ministry... The two most dominant realities that captivated my heart very early in my Christian experience were the authority of Scripture and the necessity of holiness.

Christianity advances whether there is religious freedom or not.
